comparing the Inca,Aztec,and Maya civilzations

The Incas and the Maya's social system were very similiar.For example they only had two social classes while the Aztec's had four.And also there social classes were all organized by the highest power to the lowest power.There social classes were treated diiferently espically the lower classes becuase they had the least power.Its very important for these three civilzations to have social systems because with out them there society would of been out of control and they probaly would of lost power easily.And there empire would of ended earlier.

The Inca's Social System

The Inca's social system was similiar to the Maya's.The Inca's only had two social classes a high social class and a low social class.The upper class were kings,priests,and goverments.Sons from the upper class went to school in Cuzco and learned abouit the Incas politics,and about there history.The upper class had many privileges.For example they didnt pay labor tax and they had servants.While the lower classes had to pay labor tax.The lower class were farmers,artistans,and servants.They worked on goverment lands,army,and on building mines and roads.Kids from the lower class didnt go to school.Part of the law to lower classes they had to wear plain clothes.In the Inca's social system the upper and lower class had different privileges.

The Aztec's Social System

The Aztecs social system was different from the Maya's social system.The Aztecs had four social classes.The first social class were kings, and nobles,they held the highest power.Second class were priests,and warriors.Then were merchants and artisands.And the last social class were farmers and slaves,they held the lowest power.The Aztecs also organized there society with calpulli,a community of families that shared buildings and lived in one community.In this civilzation the men had the highest status in there family.The womens took important in bearing and caring for there children.Since slaves held the lowest power they were treated differntly.For example if a slave disobeyed an order they were to be sacrificed to the gods.The Aztec society was organized differently and in bigger social classes.

The Maya's Social System

The Maya's one of the most uprising civilzation has two specific social classes.The Maya's had a high & low social class.The upper class were like priests,warriors,merchants,and kings.The importance of the priests were that they led importanat religouse ceremonies.Professional warriors fought important battles.Merchants led trade through high and low social classes.The lower class is like farmimg families,they live in small houses outside the city.there was also slaves that held the lowest position.the lower class supported the upper class with food,and labor just like upper class supported the lower class.Unlike the upper class the lower class had to pay there rulers with goods like cloth,salt,ect.In Maya society the upper & lower class had different abilities,meaning they were treated differently.
